ISRAEL

In December 2009 I had a unique invitation by the Israel Field Leadership Team of the CMA to shoot video for short films highlighting their work. I had an incredible 7-day experience shooting video in a wonderfully diverse land. In all I took over 13 hours of film and 500 pictures.

O Little Town of Bethlehem [Today]

I recently had the opportunity to travel to the Holy Land, specifically to Bethlehem. Unlike the place of Jesus’ birth that I have always imagined, Bethlehem was a ghetto of walls and barbed wire. How did I cheerfully make it through so many Christmases without knowing this? As correctly predicted by the prophet Micah, Jesus Christ was born in this town over 2000 years ago. The scene was eerily the same: a people living under oppression desperately hoping for a savior to rescue them. Then and today, there is hope. In the smile of a child and the friendship of neighbors we visualize the power of the human spirit to continue pursuing hope. I believe that this hope is found in trusting that Jesus Christ has come to rescue us. [Daniel|December 11, 2009]
